Knighted Musical Soda...what?

Hello!!!!!
Sorry, it's been a while ^^;
I've been neglecting this blog over the break because I'm laazzyyy~~ ¯3¯

Well, I just ate at Souplatation, which is probably one of my favorite buffets ever. I think I ate about 20 plates of food, so now I feel like this:

"ughh....I'm so full..."
(Thank you to whoever drew this, it is so cute and simply adorable :3)

Anways, during my 2-week absense, I found a few things.
First, Knighted, a blog written by Kevani (username), one of my old friends.
Here is a link to the blog: http://scdrag.wordpress.com/
And this is its Facebook page (I just got one recently, yay!!!): https://www.facebook.com/knightedscd
So, unlike my blog, Knighted will focus solely on anime. Although its pretty new and there aren't many posts up there yet, Kevani really describes the stuff he writes in detail. His posts are pretty long, and are definitely far more interesting than my posts. Go check it out!

Next, I found a Youtube channel using the username, s2umcn, which releases awesome remixes of anime songs. The "About" section of the channel says that it is "provided by Salktwod and mochN", so I'm assuming that this channel is maintained by two remixers. As of now, there are only four videos posted, but they are all wonderful and amazing to listen to. I highly recommend that you listen too! (Why aren't they famous yet!!!????)
This is the channel: http://www.youtube.com/s2umcn
You can download their songs here: http://s2u.digi2.jp/

Now, I'll be sharing three videos:
First is an English version of "Complication", sung by Danny Alv.:
My favorite part was during the rap...just listen, you'll hear it ;)

In case you don't know, "Complication" was originally sung by a band called ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D in Japanese. It is the second opening of the anime Durarara!!, which is only like the best romance/mystery anime I have ever seen (I am still writing my review/reaction/post about DRRR!! so I will post that some other time)

Second, we have Andrew Huang rapping in 5 different languages and still making an awesome, catchy song:

And third, how to create self-freezing soda, posted by Grant Thompson or the King of Random (check out his other videos, including a video on making self-freezing water; they're all really cool: http://www.youtube.com/user/01032010814?feature=watch)

Well, that's all for today guys ^^ Enjoy!

I'm going to ANIME-EXPOOOOO!!!!!

Hello there!
I wanted to make a short little post about my life since I've been writing about other stuff recently.
And I want to start of with the Anime Expo!!!!
Recently, my friends invited me to go, so I'll be going to my first AX this year! ^_^ I'm really excited about it.
I'll be cosplaying (well...kind of) as Pokemon trainer Red (I'm still not really sure if I'm Red from the game, manga, or anime aka Ash ^^; ). My costume's not completely done yet, but I'll try to post a picture once I'm finished. I'll also blog about what the convention was like later and hopefully I'll get lots of photos!
And about those Ouran High School Host Club reactions. As of now, I'm still planning on doing them (my unfinished post for the first episode is still sitting there in my drafts), but I'm going to have to rewatch the first episode again (it's been a while). This time, I'm hoping that I can watch while taking notes and blogging immediately after the episode. It's just less of a hassle for me.
Well, I said I was going to make this short, so I am.
Bye guys!

The Internship

Hey guys, it's been a while!!! ^o^
Well, summer break has already started for me, so that's why I've been lazing (not that I didn't do that before >.>)
Anyways, I literally just went to watch the movie, The Internship, and I gotta say that it was absolutely hilarious. So, I thought I'd blog about it.

Warning. There may or may not be spoilers in the content below...What? I'm too lazy to decide whether I'll spoil things or not, just cut me some slack ( ¯ ^ ¯ )

Since you guys can just "Google" the movie and find out what it's about (ahaha...get it?.....just look up or watch the darn movie already will you? -_-), I'm just going to jump to the parts that I really liked or feel like mentioning.
The Characters
First off, I'm going to start off with my favorites.
I really loved Neha, played by Tiya Sircar, mainly because she's an otaku!!! (and a possible fujoshi) There were a few scenes where she used anime/manga terms, and that made me really happy :) (For example, "cosplay" and "hentai"...yes, "hentai")
The other character I really liked was Stuart. I'm not really sure why I liked him, but I just do. Maybe it's his personality or something. :\
Now, for the jerk-iest character of the movie: Graham. This dude is a total "douchebag" (quoted from Neha) starting from the very first scene he appeared in. I really hate his guts....that is all O_O
Scenes
There are so many scenes from this movie that really cracked me up, but I don't want to say too many of them....I gotta save some so you guys will enjoy the movie when you watch it °w° *creepy stare*
Anyways, I guess that my favorite moment was when they entered a strippers club (don't worry, its PG-13), and Yo-yo got totally drunk (pfft...the lap dances). That moment was also when the team finally got along with each other and became good friends.
The ending was also really great and satisfying. Two dudes get two girls (Lyle and Nick) and that douche Graham gets hit :D

I also want to mention two other things. 1) I really, really, really, really, really want to work at Google now even though I have no idea how to code and am not old enough to (While I am still under the influence of this movie, I will probably try to learn programming... I tend to be influenced easily). And 2) the credits. I thought that it was a really unique to show the credits through things on Google like Google Drive, search, posts, chats, etc.

To sum it up, The Internship was hilarious and fun to watch :) Before watching it, I had some doubts on what the plot would be about, but it ended up being really good (plus they had an actual theme in it. Yes, "theme" as in the one you find in books)

That's all I have for now! Bye XD

Cooking With Dog and RunnyRunny999

Hello Everyone!!!! >v<

Today I'm going to talk about two awesome Japanese Youtubers, Cooking With Dog and runnyrunny999! Both of them post cooking videos ^^

Last Monday, I was kind of bored, so I decided to make something. I didn't have any flour though and I didn't want to bake anything. So, I went on online and looked for simple non-bake recipes. Eventually, I ended up on Youtube searching for using pudding recipes. That then led me Cooking With Dog's Custard Pudding video.

I believe that this video was nominated for a Youtube Video Award in Japan during 2011.

I have always loved to eat custard pudding and when I found that this recipe didn't use many ingredients (just water, egg, sugar, and milk!), I decided to give it a try.
These are some pictures of the final result! (sorry, no pictures of the progress. It was really messy anyways :P)

Despite it's appearance, the pudding I made was really good!!! :O
(It only looks weird because I messed up while making the caramel and because I suck at making pudding)

Cooking with Dog is hosted by...a dog, Francis, who explains the recipe of a food in English. The Chef (real name is not know) is the person who physically makes the food, and usually talks during the beginning and ending of the videos. Cooking with Dog creates many popular Japanese dishes. A few examples are ichigo daifuku, melonpan, taiyaki, and a Christmas cake (actually there's a lot more and with a wider variety...those are just some sweets that I like that they made -___-)
Anyways, continuing with the story, after I watched and made some pudding, I went on Youtube again to look for more recipes. That's when I found runnyrunny999's Mochi video.

Runnyrunny999 is the username of a Japanese chef named Taro. Although he is not a professional cook, his videos are very easy to follow and fun to watch ^^. Taro makes things based on requests from the audience, but his videos also includes candy testing from different countries.
The main difference between these two channels are the way that they are shot. Cooking with Dog's videos are more professional. All the shots are planned out (for example, when to have a close up and where) and the way they deliver the recipe is very straightforward (like, "do this, then that, then this...")
On the other hand Taro's videos are a bit friendlier. He makes jokes while he cooks and his videos just give off a friendly air (For example, he uses "lol" a lot in the description of his videos ^^).

Anyways I hope you enjoyed this post! XD
Here is Cooking With Dog and runnyrunny999's channels (you can find their Google+, Facebook, and twitter on their Youtube channel under the "About" tab):
Please watch and support them!

Bye! >W<
