Free! Episode 4 Reactions

Spoilers Contained Inside!!! You have been warned OwO...

This is my post for episode 4 of Free! Hope you enjoy~! even though its very poorly made and crappy~!

Reactions During:

  • Can't decide? CAN'T DECIDE!!? THEY'RE ALL PRACTICALLY THE SAME!!! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ
  • Whoosh! Like a ninja!
  • I love how when Gou says "can't you listen to what I have to say," Haru just wiggles away~
  • "Biceps!" -Gou Matsuoka
  • "It's not beautiful..."-Rei Ryugazaki ლ(ಠ益ಠლ
  • You just pissed off the shark, Nitori
  • Iwatobi uniforms? Oh god please no ⊙△⊙
  • "But it's not beautiful" -Rei Ryugazaki ლ(ಠ益ಠლ
  • "No, that requires effort" -Haruka Nanase (I'm totally quoting this everywhere I go now)
  • BUTT SHOT!
  • "I haven't learned any of the concepts" -Nagisa 333
  • "Wow, I can't tell that its different from his other swimsuits" Makoto took the words (and facial expression) straight out of my mouth (and face)
  • While watching the guys shop, Gou is acting like the average Free! fangirl
  • Was I the only one who squealed when I saw Rin's pained/sad look?
  • The moment Rin grabs and stops Haru from leaving: Oh god, the fanfics/fangirls are coming! RUN!!
  • I cracked up at "Not a speedo: Check" for some reason
  • Rei: swim, swim, swiajsdkfasdf, die
  • That moment when you think that Ama-sensei is finally going to give really good advice with Edison's quote ("Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration")
  • Did a butterfly just seriously land on his collarbone...and then his finger (I want that to happen to me too! ´^`)
  • If you think about it (logically), the butterfly stroke fits Rei perfectly because he keeps sinking

Thoughts After:

  • Ama-sensei's quote from Edison reminds me of a song called "Remember the Name", preformed by Fort Minor. I found the song while watching Hetalia AMVs on Youtube; it's pretty awesome, you should try listening to it
  • I'm really looking forward to the next episode; the cave/island looks really pretty (I know I've said this so many times, but KyoAni did a really great job with the water)
  • I squealed at the last picture where Haru is playing video games at Makoto's house and we get to see Makoto's siblings again
That's all for now! And I know that I haven't posted in a while. I forgot to say that I would be gone for a long while :P
Bye!

Free! Episode 3 Reactions

Spoilers Contained Inside!!! You have been warned OwO...

Hi guys! This is my crappy reaction post of Episode 3 of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club! ENJOY!

Reactions During:

  • OMGAHSDKFJ!!! The way Nagisa turns his head against Haru's side is so cute!!! >ヮ<
  • Ryugazaki's a psychic!! (lol more like Nagisa's just predictable)
  • An improvement! Haru's not stripping when he sees water now!
  • "Look at those deltoids!" -Gou Matsuoka ♥∇♥
  • "His biceps were beautiful!" -Gou Matsuoka ♥∇♥
  • The way Rei pushes up his glasses are quite different from other anime characters
  • "It defies reason!" -Rei Ryugazaki ლ(ಠ益ಠლ
  • Finland!! wait, Iceland? (Nah that's just Nitori, false alarm ≖_≖)
  • When Nagisa praises Rei's form while pole vaulting: My shipping senses are tingling! ✧ω✧
  • "Haru-chan-san" -Rei Ryugazaki
  • Yay! The Mastsuoka siblings finally meet in person again!
  • He can't swim (knew it). What are you guys doing hurry up and save him!!!
  • Gosh the water animation really is beautiful ◕◡◕
  • DAFUQ!?? What's up with that pose!!?? щ(°Д°щ) It's like a huge "✖"!!!

Thoughts After:

  • I bet that there is a NagisaxRei ship out there thanks to this episode. There's probably also RinxHaru, HaruxMakoto, GouxMakoto, GouxNagisa, and GouxThe-captain-guy ships (it's pretty much every character with every other character, really .__.)
  • I feel like there's less manservice. Or maybe I'm just getting used to it (kind of like how once you see so much fanservice, you start to not care anymore and ignore it)
  • There's actually less manservice in each episode than I initially thought ⊙‸⊙
You may have noticed that I included quotes this time. I'm thinking of trying to keep track of everything Gou (and possibly Rei) says just for the heck of it :\
That's all for now! ^^

lol no favorite moment this time :P

More Hetalia~! (Deal with it!)

Hi guys!
Recently, I've been getting really into Hetalia (well, on tumblr on Youtube at least) So, I thought I might share a few things :)
So, thanks to tumblr, I now know of and love (or love more) a whole bunch of Hetalia characters and groups, including the Nordics, Hong Kong, Kirkland Family, and the Tomato Gang. Fanart of them are just so cute ¯///v////¯ I've also seen a few things that just pounded me in the face with sad feels, like American Revolution Fanart.
The other thing that I've found recently are these birthday scenario memes. There too hard and I'm kind too lazy to explain, so here are two of them with my favorites outcomes:

The very first one that I found, which I'm extremely happy with,
since it says that I get to play video games with Taiwan!!! >v<

Get Married to Norway...I wouldn't mind, I wouldn't mind that at all >.>

And finally, the last Hetalia-related thing that I wanted to share are the character and group theme songs!
The first one I found was of the Nordic 5, called "Always With You" on tumblr (yay!) After that, I looked up other songs on Youtube, and now I especially love Japan's "Excuse me, I'm Sorry" for its catchy tune, Hong Kong's "Maji Kandou" for its awesome beat and hilarious lyrics (Prussia has lost the right to call himself awesome!), and China's "Nihao China" and "Aiyaa Four Thousand Years" (Made me cry and get goosebumps all over, I don't even know why). Others that I also enjoyed are England's "Pub & Go", Iceland's "With Love from Iceland", and Taiwan's "Poi Poi Poi". ^^

Now, on a completely different note, Comic-con, which took place in San Diego this year, just ended a couple days ago...AND I AM SO JEALOUS OF EVERYONE AND ANYONE WHO COULD GO! >.< I've never gone to Comic-con before (the only con I've ever gone to is Anime Expo, actually .__.), but it looks really fun. ;_; If I could have gone this year, I would do the following:

  • go to the Legend of Korra panel, see/meet Mike and Bryan, and watch the first episode of Korra Book 2 that they debuted there
  • go to Wong Fu Productions' booth and buy Awkward Animals and Nice Guy shirts. Also, try to make it to their Meet & Greet
  • see cosplay
  • dress in cosplay
Oh well...I'm pretty much broke from AX anyways :P

That's all for now guys, bye! XD

Anime Expo 2013!

Hello! This post will be about my visit to Anime Expo (like...2 weeks ago. I've been lazing around, I admit it -__-)Don't expect too much though. It's been a while, plus all I really did was look around at stalls.
Unfortunately, this year, my friends and I were only able to go through the Artist Alley and Exhibit Hall (no panels :'( ). It was our first year for all of us, so we got pretty tired quickly. We had originally planned to head there in the morning at 8am and leave around 6pm. In the end, we only hung around for about six hours :\
But, Anime Expo was still really cool! There were so many fellow otakus and cosplayers everywhere! ^^
When we first arrived, the Artist Alley and Exhibit Hall hadn't opened yet, so we walked around the lobby and took pictures of cosplayers. Unexpectedly (at least to me), there were a lot of Adventure Time and Homestuck fans at Anime Expo. I also didn't expect to see that many couples that were cosplaying together. One really cute couple cosplayed as a Mincraft player and a creeper. It was so cute <3
When the upper floors at AX finally opened, my friends and I went straight to Yummei's table in the Artist Alley. I got to buy her book, 1000 Words, and one of her prints. :D I also met a artist I didn't know, named Angela (her username is AsianPanties on deviantart, which I now follow) and bought two of her prints. At the Artist Alley, there was a lot of Free! (which was released just the day before I went) and Sherlock stuff, which my friends fangirl about... .___.
After eating lunch outside, we went back in to look around the Exhibit Hall. Two of my friends wanted some Maple Story stuff, so the rest of us walked around and explored. I saw a lot of interesting things, like wigs, mangas, katanas, masks, alpacas, and plushies.
After that, we pretty much went home. °_________________°

I brought back a total of nine things, listed below:
  • Yuumei's 1000 Words
  • A Wolf print from Yuumei
  • A Pokemon Starters print and Link print from Angela
  • Izaya VS Shizuo T-shirt (for me)
  • Gundam T-shirt (for my brother)
  • Alpaca with a Sailor Hat
  • Two Pokeballs
By the end of the day, I saw a lot of cosplayers from all different kinds of fandoms, such as Attack on Titan, Pokemon, and Durarara!! I found a lot of Hetalia cosplayers, including a Belarus, Ukraine, Italy, South Korea, Chibitalia, Taiwan, 2 Englands, a couple Canadas, and a lot of Americas (all that plus my friends who were dressed as China and genderbent/Nyotalia North Korea). Two of my other friends were dressed as Blake and Ruby from Roosterteeth's RWBY. There were a lot less Roosterteeth fans (especially RWBY because technically there are only four video trailer of it released so far) at AE, but I did manage to find two other Rubys and one Yang.

Here are just a few of the pictures:

Best Celty cosplay I've ever seen.
(Celty's so awesome!!!! I love her so much!)
Later, I saw this person sitting at a booth in the Artist Alley ^^

A Kagura and two Team Magma girls

You have no idea how many SNK fans there were out there.
So many people were cosplaying them, and in big groups like this.

The same Celty from before, this time with an Izaya!

You have no idea how much I love this shirt <3

I'm hoping that next year, I can go to AX again. So far, I'm planning on cosplaying as Taiwan, but if I can't finish her clothes on time, I'll just buy a blue dress and go as Seychelles.
That's all for now! Bye guys! XD

Free! Episode 2 Reactions

Spoilers Contained Inside!!! You have been warned OwO...

Hey guys! This is my reaction post to Episode 2 of Free! Again, I will no longer be posting summaries (or episode titles) so go search that up yourselves! >.< Let's Begin!

Reactions During:

  • More Dubstep!!!
  • DaFUQ!!!???? How does Haru swim that fast!???? Just, how does one simply swim so FAST!!!!???
  • Oh god, I love Gou so much...("Girls my age shouldn't ogle at naked men!" (〃・・〃) "I can't get enough of those triceps!" (‘∀’●)♡ ...."Traps and pecs everywhere!" (●♡∀♡) )
  • Wow that squid looks really delicious. I'm getting hungry -___-
  • Wait, Rin's not on the swim team!??? WHAT IS GOING ONNN!!!???? ヽ(o`皿′o)ノ
  • Isn't that track team guy in the opening and closing songs??? (I sense another major character XD)
  • Wow, Ama-sensei can be really scary, can't she (she gives off the feeling of this: 凸(◕‿◕✖) )
  • OHMAHGAWD, little Rin and Gou are soooo cute!!!!
  • awww, when Gou said she'd join the swim team, I thought she'd be swimming (━┳━ _ ━┳━)
  • Is it strange that I find it funny that, despite being the coach, the coach only has a bunch of cameos
  • Little Rin walks past Little Haru: ;_;
  • That old picture Rin took confuses me ( ・◇・)?

Thoughts After:

  • Well, there's definitely less fanservice in this episode than in the last
  • Still loving the closing song
  • A lot of people ship Makoto and Gou together, because they had a lot of interaction in this episode. On the other hand, people ship Gou and Nagisa, probably because of the "Gou, Kou!" scene and because they are in the same year. Personally, I think I'm being dragged into the MakotoxGou ship .___.
That's all for episode 2, I'll see you next time!

1 YEEAARRR!!! ONE WHOLE YEEEAARRR!!!

YAY!!!! Life's Camera is now ONE YEAR OLD!!!!
...
that is all :>

I'm just kidding. But really, I don't have much to say.

Time really flies. I remember that when I was in elementary school, summer felt like a few years -____-
Now it seems so short.

I should mention that I recently got a tumblr (I mentioned this in my last post, my reactions to the first episode of the Free! anime). I don't think I'll be doing much with it, because right now, I only use it to like photos that I see. If I do start blogging on tumblr, it will most likely be for reblogging stuff that I find kawaii/funny/amusing/badass/cute/inspiring/hella-funny/interesting.

The following are animes/mangas that I (still) plan on reviewing/reacting to....eventually:
  • Durarara!!
  • Ouran High School Host Club
  • Kaichou Wa Maid-sama
  • Someday's Dreamers
  • and the one I just started, Free!
And finally, I want to thank any and everyone who comes across this blog and has read any one of my posts.
That's all for now guys, bye!!! XD

Free! Episode 1 Reactions

Spoilers Contained Inside!!! You have been warned OwO...

Hey guys!
Recently, I started watching the anime, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club!
In case you don't know about it, Free! is the new swimming anime that was released this summer that has a whole bunch of manservice in it! (Absolutely WONDERFUL, right? yes I'm being sarcastic) At first, I wasn't going to watch it, but I went on tumblr and saw a bunch of funny pictures and screenshots. After I learned about Gou Matsuoka, I finally decided to start watching the series.
Anyways, this post is about episode 1 of Free! I'm thinking about just doing reaction posts for this series, so no summaries guys!!! (go on Wikipedia or something) Also, the format of this reaction post is going to be a little different from the ones I'm doing before (I'm planning on using this format for my reactions on Ouran High School Host Club too, when I do get a chance to do them) A few things before I start: everything is mostly in chronological order in the "Reactions During" section, and when I use "..." it means that I'm watching something and after a while, something else happens.

What I learned before watching:

  • a few funny scenes from Episode 1 and 2
  • Apparently, the way the characters dance in the closing song have to do with what swimming style that they swim (Example, backstroke, breast stroke, freestyle)
  • Gou Matsuoka, and that she is related to a character named Rin Matsuoka (at the time, I only knew what Gou looked like and her name)
  • Free! has a lot of manservice (oh boy -______________- what fun)
  • Free! is about swimming

Reactions During:

  • Video loads: *fangirl* I'm so excited, I want to see Gou!!!!
  • lol those two guys (brown-haired and blonde) sound exactly like girls...actually almost all of them do. O_O
  • the water is so pretty!!!! >W<
  • wow, he (black-haired) looks so bored now that he's grown up lol
  • I really like that Grandma's quote ^^ It's kinda true
  • Opening Song: I guess it's pretty cool if you look at how they animate it (manservice! manservice everywhere!!!! D: there's no doubt that there will be more later)
  • GOU!!!! SHE FINALLY APPEARED!!!!!!
  • so that shota-boy/Nagisa is calling everyone with "-chan", eh?
  • It's so cute when Haruka's eyes start sparkling when you mention a pool ^///^
  • the paintings on that old swim school's wall looks really creepy (It's as if the swimmer is crying out blood or something)
  • aww...it's so cute how Makoto's scared
  • Rin's teeth are so sharp...he came back from Australia like a badass...let me rephrase that: he came back from Australia as a jerk
  • oh gawd, the manservice again (/ n \)
  • Wow, both Rin and Haru wear swimsuits under their clothes everyday (that's kind of gross now that I think about it O.O). What swimming maniacs...and then they don't even notice that there's no water in the pool
  • He did the "pool" thing again, so cute!!!!
  • More manservice -___-
  • I only just realized that Free! in the title means freestyle O___O i feel dumb now
  • DUBSTEP!!! TECHNO!!!
  • Closing Song: catchy; Rin is still a bastard, even in the closing

Thoughts After:

  • The manservice made me feel more awkward and embarassed than I thought it would make me...
  • Awww...Gou didn't appear as much as I would have liked her to ¯3 ¯
  • I thought that Nagisa and Makoto would have switched personalities. I guess that it's better that they didn't though; there are too many shota-boys who are always scared
That's all I have for now! I'll post my reactions for episode 2 soon ^^
Bye! :D

Favorite part:
Isn't he so cute :3

Anime Expo Cosplay

Hey guys!
A while ago, I said that I was going to Anime Expo, right?
Well, I'm excited to say that the day I'm going is this Saturday, July 6th!!! (Or AX Day 3)
As promised, here is the cosplay that I made and will wear to AX:

My vest and shirt (I'll also be wearing jeans, but I don't really need to put that here, right?)
(Sorry, I'm too lazy to turn it clockwise -_________-)

My hat, gloves, Pikachu, and backpack that I will bring along with me :)

In case you forgot, I'm going as Trainer Red from Pokemon (or at least a female/genderbent version of him...since I'm a girl and I don't want to cut my hair). I'm still not exactly sure which one I am (Game-original, Game-remake, Pokemon Adventures manga, or Anime/Ash), but I don't think I'll be acting "in character" as Red, so I don't really have anything to worry about. I will say though, that I made the vest based on the Red from the original Pokemon Red Version, and the hat based on the remake of Red from the Pokemon Firered Version (aka the trainer in Super Smash Brothers Brawl). And yes, I used white duct tape on the hat and vest pockets :P

Before Saturday though, I'm going to Universal Studios!
That will be this Thursday on July 4th.
I'll get some pictures to post here, but I can't promise anything because when you're having so much fun, you tend to forget things >w<
I'll do my best though!

That's all I have planned so far this week, but if anything else fun pops up, I'll be sure to post about it XD
Bye!

I'm going to ANIME-EXPOOOOO!!!!!

Hello there!
I wanted to make a short little post about my life since I've been writing about other stuff recently.
And I want to start of with the Anime Expo!!!!
Recently, my friends invited me to go, so I'll be going to my first AX this year! ^_^ I'm really excited about it.
I'll be cosplaying (well...kind of) as Pokemon trainer Red (I'm still not really sure if I'm Red from the game, manga, or anime aka Ash ^^; ). My costume's not completely done yet, but I'll try to post a picture once I'm finished. I'll also blog about what the convention was like later and hopefully I'll get lots of photos!
And about those Ouran High School Host Club reactions. As of now, I'm still planning on doing them (my unfinished post for the first episode is still sitting there in my drafts), but I'm going to have to rewatch the first episode again (it's been a while). This time, I'm hoping that I can watch while taking notes and blogging immediately after the episode. It's just less of a hassle for me.
Well, I said I was going to make this short, so I am.
Bye guys!

Hetalia Stereotypes

Hi guys!
I wanted to make a short post on this video I found a while ago... :3
It's a MEP (like an AMV, or Anime Music Video, but with multiple editors) of Hetalia using The Stereotype Song!
Warning: The lyrics are a bit inappropriate
This song has been stuck in my head the whole day (thanks to one of my Hetalia-loving friends). Coincidentally, the first time I heard the song was in this MEP on Hetalia.
I feel like there is no other song that suits Hetalia more than The Stereotype Song. Since Hetalia is like a slice-of-life (of world history), the characters are very important. And if you think about it, all the hot, sexy, good-looking, awesome...wait that's just Prussia, handsome, *cough, cough* I mean wonderful characters of Hetalia are just stereotypes of its citizens. So, that's why I love this video.
Hope you enjoy!

I'm hoping to post again in two days, but that's only if I'm lucky (sooo....much....WORK!!!!!)

P.S. NEVER sing the song's chorus out loud in public (unless you're with your close friends) or you will receive strange stares from the people around you....I've experienced that today (TT^TT)

Hetalia!

Hello! :D
It is so, so, so, so hot today -_-
Actually, it probably isn't even that hot, but I live in a kinda cool place, so even sweating because of the sun is rare (curse you, global warming!!!)
I bet that those of you who live in places where it's really hot 24/7 must be laughing at me now. Like, a place near the equator or something... like Taiwan. :)
Speaking of Taiwan, here's a fanart of her:
Confused? I shall explain.
First of all, I am now a Hetalian.
...sorta-kinda.
A Hetalian is a fangirl/fanboy of the anime, Hetalia: Axis Powers. I was pulled into the world of Hetalia by two friends of mine who really, really love it (specifically USUK you two fujoshis I still love you guys though! ^o^)
The plot surrounds the lives and history (it's educational! :D) personified countries of the world, specifically Germany, Italy, and Japan of the Axis Powers during World War II. There are also other personified countries such as the Allied Powers of America, England/UK/Britain, Russia, China, and France. Other countries include people like Spain, Hungary, Austria, Prussia.
I started to like Hetalia because of the fanart. It is just simply amazing, and they tell you a lot about the characters. Then, I looked up the characters on the Hetalia wiki, and now, I'm watching the episodes (I'm trying to find some sub, but if I really can't, I'll just stick to some English dub)
My favorite character would be Taiwan (because I have some ancestry from there and cause she's a girl :D), but I also like other countries. I guess you could say that I like pretty much like all the female characters (which aren't a lot compared to all the male characters), specifically Hungary and Vietnam, but I also like Prussia (and the Bad Touch Trio), North Italy ("PASSTTAA!!!!!"), Canada, and America. I really like the Asian countries (South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong) and the "love triangle" between Prussia, Hungary, and Austira too.
Hetalia is pretty interesting because there are a lot of versions. There's Nyotalia, or the genderbent version, where all the girl are guys and guys are girls. (I heard that it was made for the dudes.) Then, there's Mochitalia, where all the countries are delicious mochi, and Nekotalia, where the characters are cats (not just the cat ears), and 2P, where the characters all have inverted personalities (for example, North Italy, who is usually the happy and carefree baggage of the Axis Powers becomes the dangerous, cruel, and dark leader of the Axis)
Hetalia is so awesome! >w< There are so many characters to love even if they are minor characters or only appear a few times! If you ever see a Hetalia character and don't know what their name is, just check this chart!
Thank you to whoever made this. You're awesome!!! XD

I might as well add Britain with a flying mint bunny :3
Again, I have no idea what's going on in this part of the anime. Everything I know comes from the wiki/fanart.

Bye! :D

Levels of Otaku-ness!!!!

Hey guys!
It's been a while and I apologize for that. After my last post, I thought that I would have more free time, but instead I just got more and more work.
Anyways, I just wanted to make at least one post this week, so I'll be posting about the 5 Levels of Otaku-ness!!!!

In case you don't know what an otaku is, an otaku is someone who is obsessed/really likes manga and anime. Actually, that's the definition of an "otaku" here in the USA. In Japan (where the word originates), an otaku is anyone who is obsessed with anything (I think that the word "otaku" literally means"house" because otakus were people/nerds who would stay home all the time)
But, for this post, I'll be writing about the American Otaku because I live in the US and I consider myself as (at least kind of ) an otaku.

Level 1:
The kind of person who only watches anime when he/she coincidentally sees it on TV (like adult swim or something). The same is for manga; a Level 1 Otaku will only read manga when he/she is shown it by friends. They usually only watch/read extremely popular anime/manga.
Level 2:
Level 2 Otakus are people who begin to start getting interested in manga/anime and will start to look for anime episodes to watch online or places to read manga. Other than that, they don't really do much anime/manga-related stuff :\
Level 3:
Level 3 Otakus are rather broad. The first part of Level 3 include people who start to watch/read everything that they can find about manga/anime. They might read light novels or play visual novels that the manga/anime originate from (However, they only do this for the animes/manga that they like or have seen, and will spend a reasonable amount of money, if any at all, on anime/manga). At this point, they don't mind English subtitles on anime. The second part of Level 3 include otakus who buy anime/manga merchandise, like pens, posters, or plushies, start to cosplay, and go to anime conventions. They will start to buy lots of manga and anime.
Level 4:
I hear that at this point (sorry, I haven't really been here before.... :\ ), otakus become weaboos, meaning that they love Japanese culture until they are annoying. They'll cosplay all the time and go to anime conventions every year. They pretty much act, dress, and talk like "real" Japanese people (which is why it becomes so unbearable to watch them). They spend even more money on anime/manga related stuff.
Level 5:
Level 5 is the True Otaku. They're rooms are filled with posters, plushies, figurines, pens; everything and anything anime/manga related! They spend more money on visual novels, Japanese games, light novels, manga, and anime. They often are fans of less-famous anime/manga (that are not the big three, Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece, and also Fairy Tail, which is also pretty popular) and cosplay and go to every anime con they can find. By this point, they just appreciate Japan a lot ^.^

Well, that's my definition of the 5 Levels of Otaku-ness.
And honestly, if I am to rate myself as an otaku....I would probably be around the beginning of Level 3.

Anyways, here are some pictures I found about otakus!
The first one is meant to be funny (I don't mean to offend anyone though) and the second is...more deep?
Enjoy, and bye! :D

SAO series Review

*Warning: This post contains SPOILERS. If you do not want to be spoiled, DO NOT READ THIS POST
....I warned you... O.O*

Hello! Now, I'll be comparing my opinion on SAO to gigguk's opinion. ^.^
So watch the video if you haven't already! >.< (watch it until the very end!)

Well, first let me say that overall, I'd give Sword Art Online a 8 out of 10.
Wait, wait, wait!!!! >.< Let me explain!

Firstly, I have previously played MMO games. Although I did not seriously play a lot of them, I have played them before. Also, I read the Sword Art Online light novel. So, I know a bit more than those who just watch the anime. And lastly, I am a bit of a SAO fangirl :3

I definitely agree with gigguk that the art, action, and music, is absolutely SPECTACULAR in SAO. I mean, even someone like me, who doesn't review animes a lot can tell that the action was done really well unlike the end of the movie, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Although it was acted out by real actors and actresses, when Percy and Annabeth were sparring at the end, it looked completely unreal. Even nigahiga, D-trix, and Arden Cho (Youtubers ftw!!!! ^w^) in "Agents of Secret Stuff" did better than them! But then again, acting and animation are two very different things :\ . You can just tell.
However, there are things that I disagree with, though mainly because of me reading the light novel, being an MMO gamer, and not really evaluating and thinking about the anime while watching it (like what gigguk said).
Because of being a gamer, I feel like I am already satisfied with seeing Sword Art Online as an anime. It's pretty cool to see a "real" gaming environment, with all the floating windows and health bars and stuff. -.- The anime's art also great, making people, like me, want to be inside and play the game.

See!!??? Floating interactive windows!!!! How cool is that!!!!???? XD

About the characters: I feel like gigguk is right to say that the characters aren't fully developed...that is, the characters in the anime. As a reader of the light novels, I would say that my understanding of the characters is deeper than someone who just watches the anime. In the light novels, although the point of view is in the first person narrated by Kirito/Kazuto, sometimes, it will change to the limited point of view, allowing the readers to understand what another major character, for example Asuna or Suguha, is thinking. The light novel also has more arcs and events than the anime does. (For example, the Mother's Rosario Arc is mainly focused on Asuna as the protagonist/main character.) How a character reacts to specific events tell us, the readers, their traits. So, different point of views tell us different characters' thoughts and events reveal more characters as well as their traits, leading us to a better understanding of the characters of Sword Art Online.

This is the cover of Volume 7 of the SAO light novel. It's for the Mother's Rosario Arc
(Yuuukkkiiii!!!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!!! I'll love you forevah!!!!!!! D':)

About the seriousness: I feel like some of the characters were over-serious for really no reason, but others were seriously serious (what a confusing sentence T^T). In SAO, the serious ones would be the players at the front-lines. The others, who chose not to fight and to live their lives in SAO (kind of like the fisherman guy in Episode 13, remember him?) are the ones who are more laid-back. In ALO, pretty much everyone who is aiming to complete the Grand Quest and reach the top of the World Tree can be labeled as "serious", but there are exceptions. For example, that one Salamander that Kirito and Leafa spared in Episode 19 could be considered as non-serious because he accepted Kirito's bribe. The seriously serious people would probably be Kirito/Kazuto or Oberon/Sugou Nobuyuki. For Kirito, he's being serious because he wants to escape from SAO and save Asuna from ALO. For Oberon....he's just a horrible, disgusting, selfish fictional human being -_-.

:D

Again, the light novel explains a lot more than the anime does. For example, we learn more about Heathcliff/Kayaba Akihiko and why Kirito is so overpowered (it has to do with how the NerveGear and Amusphere (and later, the MediCuboid and Soul Translator) work, which the light novels go more in depth in).
Gigguk talked about how the creators disregarded in-game rules to advance the plot or make Kirito look badass (while showing the scene when Kirito used Kayaba's username, Heathcliff, so I am only assume that that's what he's talking about). But, I think that the only reason Kirito could do that is because of his willpower, a theme. Thus, this theme would be that human will can overcome the program.

And now, I would talk about the plot, but honestly, I don't really have much to talk about. :| I was one of the people who just enjoyed the Sword Art Online anime without thinking much....
So yeah, I'm skipping this section :P

That's all I have :)
I know that's it's not much because I started working on the first half of this and wasn't able to finish it until much, much later. (My train of thought was just cut in half, you know -__-)
I'm thinking of adding some posts about my other thoughts about SAO or to share stuff with you guys, but I can't promise anything yet!
Also, I may have only shown gigguk's review of SAO on this post, but don't forget that there are a lot of other anime reviewers out there! (Maybe I'll do other short posts using their videos too next time)

Bye! :D

Hello!
It's been a while again! ^.^
I've been super busy recently, which is a reason why I haven't been posting for a while.
Also I...don't really know exactly what to write about now... O.O
Yes, I've been working on that final/overall SAO review, but sometimes, my head starts to hurt and I take a break....a very long break O.O (forgive meh!!!!)
...
Okay, I admit it. I've been lazy, but I still actually do have a lot of work.

One thing that I want to say now (I don't know if I've said it before, but it doesn't hurt to say it twice, right?) is that the poems I write are not always about me. Some of my friends read my blog and started to worry about whether I was suicidal or depressed because of my poems O.o Well, I'm not. I just find it easier to write dark poems. I don't really now why though, because I consider myself to be a pretty happy person, optimistic even. Anyways, the speakers of my poems are not always me. (heck, sometimes I don't really know what I'm writing about :\)

I've been thinking, should I start reviewing Ouran High School Host Club? (After Sword Art Online, of course) It's an anime that I watched way back but recently, I've seen some clips from it and am tempted to rewatch it (I'm already rereading the manga). Well, just an idea.

Finally, about a week or so ago, I went through my blog and read my old posts. And I found that I used to be really rude and arrogant sometimes (actually, I think I still am a little). For example, my post about Rebecca Black's "Friday" song. I think I was inspired to write about it a few days after watching the Kids React video for "Hot Problems" (a song with horrible lyrics sung by two tone-deaf girls) by the Fine Brothers. I guess I was just in that crappy mood at the time and started to spew a bunch of crap about it (excuse the language, please).
I should probably apologize to possible fans, my readers (if I have any at all, I can't really tell) and those that I have offended, but I have to say that that was my opinion at the time.

I think that that's all I have for now.
Bye! :D

And Happy Spring Break to those who have started it :)

SAO Ep. 25 "The World Seed" Review

*Warning: This post contains SPOILERS. If you do not want to be spoiled, DO NOT READ THIS POST
....I warned you... O.O*

Yes! :D We are on the final episode of the anime adaption of Sword Art Online, "The World Seed".

So, Kazuto is riding his bike towards the hospital to meet Asuna. However, just before entering the building, Sugou attacks and cuts him on the right arm. Sugou is seriously trying to kill Kazuto and would have succeeded in doing so if it weren't for his eye (affected from when it was slashed by Kirito in ALO in the last episode). When he tries to attack for a second time, Kazuto manages to smash Sugou's head against the side of a car and puts the knife against his neck. Sugou faints and he leaves to go to Asuna's hospital room. When he reaches her, they hug and kiss.

Kazuto and Asuna's reunion in reality.

Months later, in May of 2025, Kazuto and Asuna eat lunch together outside at school (it's the one opened by the government for SAO players who were students; mentioned previously in episode 21). Meanwhile Shinozaki Rika (Lisbeth) and Ayano Keiko (Silica) watch them angrily from a building (remember, they both had crushes on Kazuto).

From left to right: Agil (can't really see), Klein, Kazuto, and Thinker.

Then, Kazuto, Asuna, and Suguha go to the Dicey Cafe, owned by Andrew Gilbert Mills (Agil). They are surprised by a group of friends who are SAO players, who congratulate Kazuto on completing SAO.
At the party, Kazuto talks to Klein (Tsuboi Ryoutarou), Agil, and Thinker about the World Seed and VRMMORPGs while Suguha sits in a corner.

From left to right: Lisbeth, Silica, Yolko, Asuna, Sasha, Yulier

In ALO, Leafa tries to fly to the moon, but fails and begins to fall down. She is caught by Kirito and decides to teach him how to dance. She tells him about how she would never be able to catch up with the Kirito's other friends, who are SAO players, since she had never been to Aincrad before.

New Aincrad (I don't know why, but this reminds me of Chirstmas O.O)

Then, Kirito grabs Leafa and flies near the World Tree. He shows her the new Aincrad Castle, and asks her to help him finish all 100 floors, since all his stats had been reset. Kirito's other friends appear, and everyone flies up to new Aincrad.
The End.

Well, that's the end of the Sword Art Online anime! :D
Too bad it ended :'(
Here's two group pictures of the Sword Art Online characters. ^^

Eugene, Oberon, Recon, Sakuya, Alicia Rue, Klein, Leafa, Kirito, Asuna, Yui, Lisbeth, Silica & Pina, Sachi, Agil, Heathcliff, Thinker, Yulier, Argo
I like how Heathcliff has the peace sign >.<

Left to right: Sinon/Asada Shino (from the Gun Gale Online Arc in the light novels), Suguha,
Kazuto, Klein/Ryoutarou, Asuna, Lisbeth/Rika, Silica/Keiko, Agil/Andrew

I think that's it for now.
Although I'm done with reviewing/summarizing SAO, I think that I'll make more posts about SAO.
I'm definitely planning on making at least one more post comparing gigguk and my opinions about the series. But, I might also share some pictures that I found. Or explain my opinions on Heathcliff/Kayaba Akihiko or talk about Argo.
Anyways, I hope you'll watch the anime adaption of Sword Art Online and continue to read my posts ^^
Bye! :D

SAO Ep. 24 "Gilded Hero" Review

*Warning: This post contains SPOILERS. If you do not want to be spoiled, DO NOT READ THIS POST
....I warned you... O.O*

Yay! We're almost there ^^ This is the review of episode 24 of Sword Art Online, "Gilded Hero".

So, Yui has just teleported herself and Kirito through the door at the top of the dome. At this moment, Kirito realizes that the whole Grand Quest was a lie (because originally, the door could not be opened. The two eventually find Asuna in the birdcage and hug. :)

Aw...finally reunited. :3

Suddenly, Kirito senses someone and draws his sword. Yui tells them that something bad was coming and disappears, while Kirito and Asuna are forced onto the floor of the birdcage. At this time, the King Oberon (otherwise known as that bast*rd, Sugou Nobuyuki) appears, revealing the force affecting them to be a new type of "Gravity Magic". He creates a pair of chains and hangs Asuna from them. Then he uses Kirito's own swords and stabs him with him, lowering the Kirito's Pain Absorption level from 10 to 8, causing him to fell pain. He explains that if the level were to be lowered under 3, then it would start to affect Kirito's real body. (So basically, the lower in the level of the Pain Absorption, the more it hurts :\)
Sugou then proceeds to Asuna and starts to....strip her O.O....yeah...
Meanwhile, Kayaba Akihiko suddenly appears to Kirito telling him that Kirito had shown him that human will could overpower the system. Then, Kirito manages to stand up and, using Kayaba's system ID, Heathcliff, takes away Sugou's administrative privileges. Kirito summons Excalibur (strongest sword in the game), throws it to Sugou, sets the Pain Absorption level to 0, and challenges Oberon. They fight, and Kirito wins (duhh), killing Sugou's ALO character, Oberon.

This picture...is actually kind of scary... o.o

Kirito holds the "World Seed"

Kirito walks over to Asuna, apologizes, and logs her out. He calls out to Kayaba, who appears, and gives him the "World Seed", a program that could create a VRMMORPG (its actually pretty important in the later volumes of the light novel). Before disappearing, Kayaba tells Kirito that he could do whatever he wanted with it--sell it, put it on the internet for free, or destroy it. Then, Kirito calls out to Yui, who appears.
They hug and he logs out. In the real world Kazuto wakes up and tells Suguha that he was going to the hospital. He leaves on his bike while it is snowing.

Yay! Another great episode ^^
Oberon's dead (?) and Asuna has been saved :D
Happy ending, right?
...welll there's still another episode ;)
Here's some more fanart and awesome pictures:

"What if Kirito and Asuna swapped places....."

Another hilarious image by GreenTeaNeko :3

Haha...^^ LOL

And last but not least, is Gigguk's reaction video!!! He's absolutely hilarious!!!! XD
Again, he swears a bit :|

So, the next review/summary I do on Sword Art Online will be on the last episode of the anime adaption. However, I'm thinking of making one more post comparing my overall thoughts of SAO and gigguk's, since he has reviewed it and I've been putting up his reactions to two of the episodes.
But, that's all for now :) Bye! Join me next time! :D

SAO Ep. 23 "Bonds" Review

*Warning: This post contains SPOILERS. If you do not want to be spoiled, DO NOT READ THIS POST
....I warned you... O.O*

Now, I'm about to review "Bonds", episode 23 of the SAO anime. ^^

This episode begins with Kazuto asking Suguha to meet up in the north terrace of Aarun in ALO after arguing with each other. Suguha logs into the game and meets Recon, who escaped from the Salamanders. He confesses his love to Suguha, but is rejected with a punch.

Sorry Recon :(

Then, Leafa flies to the terrace where Kirito is waiting and they fight. In the last moment, both throw away their swords and hug in mid-air. Kirito tells Leafa about his thoughts, and she decides to continue to help him save Asuna.
Kirito, Leafa, and Recon, meet together at the base of the World Tree again and challenge the Grand Quest. It is decided that Kirito will use his speed to rush to the top of the tree while Leafa and Recon act as healing and support. However, the Guardian NPCs start to target Leafa and Recon. They fight back, and Recon eventually uses a strong self-destruct spell, killing both himself and a large number of NPCs.

*sigh* It's another one of those weird faces Kirito makes when fighting -_-

Then, Alicia Rue and Sakuya arrive with their Sylph and Cait Sith forces (they had finished their preparations using the money Kirito gave them). Meanwhile, Kirito and Leafa fight together, back-to-back. When they near the top of the dome, Leafa gives Kirito her katana and he forces his way through a group of NPCs. At this time, the Cait Siths and Sylphs retreat.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

At the dome's top, Kirito is unable to open the door. Yui explains that the door was never meant to be opened, but using the administrator's card that Asuna gave them, they manage to teleport through it before NPC Guardians attacked them.

Well, this episode definitely had more fighting and action in it then the one before ^^
I'm so excited because Kirito will finally meet Asuna again! I just keep fangirling!!!! >.<
Here's another fanart drawn by GreenTeaNeko on Deviantart.com:
Haha! >.< Asuna and I have the same reactions ^^
And look at Sugou/Obreron! Was he eating ramen or something O.o

That's all for now :)
Join me next time! :D We have two more episodes to go! >.<

SAO Ep. 22 "Grand Quest" Review

*Warning: This post contains SPOILERS. If you do not want to be spoiled, DO NOT READ THIS POST
....I warned you... O.O*

Today, I'm reviewing episode 22 of Sword Art Online, "Grand Quest".

Last time, after arriving in Aarun, Yui told Kirito that Asuna seemed to be directly above them, and so he flew upwards. Leafa tries to follow him, telling him that it was impossible to fly up because there was a barrier where the clouds were (Previously, players had tried to reach the top of the World Tree by flying up.)
However, Kirito ignores her and rams into the barrier and Yui tries to call for Asuna. Up in the birdcage, Asuna hears Yui's calls and drops the card she had found in the Experiment room. Down below, Kirito catches the card, and Yui tells him that it was a System Admin access code, leading them to believe that Asuna had heard them and was waiting.

While watching, I found it kind of weird that the call wasn't really falling down, but floating. :\

Kirito thanks Leafa for helping him and heads to the base of the World Tree. When he arrives, the swords of two huge statues block the entrance, asking him if he was going to go in. A window pops up, and Kirito accepts the grand quest.

Entrance to the World Tree

He enters a huge dome, and flies up, killing armored NPC guardians that are in the way. Kirito is powered by the thought of Asuna, and continues to fly, ignoring the NPC's attacks. Eventually, his HP reaches zero before reaching the entrance to the World Tree and he becomes a Remain Light (I didn't know what they were called until now, but remain lights are the little fire things that players in ALO turn into after dying. They can be revived through magic by another player while in this stage, but after a certain time, they are resurrected and transported to their race's city)
While waiting for the time limit of the remain light, Leafa bursts into the dome and takes him back to the entrance. She revives Kirito, telling him not to rush in by himself. However, Kirito tells her that he couldn't and had to see Asuna again. At the mention of her name, Leafa realizes that Kirito was Kazuto. She calls Kirito "onii-chan" (means older brother in Japanese), causing Kirito to realize that Leafa was Suguha. Then, Leafa logs out in shock.
In the real world, Kazuto knocks on Suguha's door and tries to apologize for using the NerveGear again (he thought that she was mad at him for that). Suguha then opens the door and says that she was mad at Kazuto for being nice to her after returning from SAO and making her fall in love with Kazuto (and then Kirito). When Kazuto reminds Suguha that they were siblings, she reveals that she knew they were cousins. Kazuto tries to apologize, and Suguha slams the door shut. :(

Someone added a caption to this screenshot and I thought that it was funny :P

Episode 22 was just another episode of SAO that I felt wasn't really that important. All we really learn is that Kirito gets a weird card thingy and Leafa and Kirito know each others real identities.
Well...that's actually what I think now, after watching the whole series and reading the light novels O.O
So, you might think differently. (Yeah, I know I really suck at this reviewing thing -_-)

That's all for now. Hope you join me next time :D

Bestamvsofalltime

Hello!
No, I did not type the title of this post wrong ^.^
Bestamvsofalltime is the username of a group of people who make AMVs, or Anime Music Videos.
Actually, that isn't quite right. The truth is, I'm not exactly sure what or who Bestamvsofalltime is/are. However, if he/she is just one person, then he/she collects a bunch of AMVs from different people who make them, and put it under the Youtube username, "Bestamvsofalltime". If "Bestamvsofalltime" is a group of video editors, then they all make their own videos and post it under that username. Well, in both cases, AMVs make by different people are put under the username "Bestamvsofalltime" -.-
Also, I should mentions that although I call this account, "Bestamvsofalltime", all these videos are posted in a bunch of accounts similarly spelled to "Bestamvsofalltime". For example, there's "Bestamvzofalltime", "Bestamvzofalltime1", etc. (I think that they capitalicize certain letters, but I'm not sure which). So, if you try to search the username, you may as well watch one of their videos and click on the column of similar videos on the right of the Youtube page to watch the others that they make.
I was originally introduced to their videos through my brother. It took me a while, but now I'm finally watching them on my own. (At first, he would tell me to watch them with him)

There are a bunch of awesome, funny, and just really good videos, but the below are just a few that I liked.
This one is called "Secret of Emotions". It uses multiple animes, which is the reason why I like this video so much. They did a really good job at video editing all of this. It's really cute too ^^ See for yourself.

This video is called, "Skittles" and uses the anime, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which I have not watched yet, but have heard of many times before. I like it mostly because of the song, "Candy Pop", but the video editing is nice too.

This last video is called "(This is) RANDOMNESS!?" and it's exactly what it sounds like....You'll understand me if you watch it -.-;

There are so many more videos I want to show you, but I just can't because there would be too many >.<
So, I'll list them here (just by their titles. If you want to watch the videos, I suggest that you type in "Bestamvsofalltime" and the video title.)

  • Affective School Girls-overall, I thought it was hilarious >w<
  • Fairytale of Lies-this made me want to read the manga, Romeo x Julet (there's an anime too!). It was so awesome.
  • Black Impulse-very well made :)
  • Nothing to Lose-made me remember how sad Ace's death was in One Piece D':
  • With Lightning Speed-a tiny bit perverted, but funny. I like the song :D ("GetonGetoffGetonGetoffGetonGetoffGetonGetoffGetonGetoffGetonGetoffGeton........")
  • Each Moment-love the beat and song
  • Beat Drop-opera!!???? O.o REALLY love the beat >.<
  • Vagabond-at first, I didn't like the beginning, but then I started to like it more and more in the middle

Again, there are tons more, but these are just some of my favorites so far. All of them have GREAT VIDEO EDITING, and AWESOME SONGS.
Go watch some videos!!! >.<
Bye!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to make a short post saying "Happy Chinese New Year!!!" >.<
This year, it is the year of the snake ^^
I found this picture on Google, but it is from a blog about amigurumis and crocheting (which I love if I haven't mentioned it before).
Check it out! http://allaboutami.tumblr.com/

I haven't gotten to see all of it, but it looks pretty interesting :) I'll read everything on it later.

Recently, I've been reading the manga, Kekkaishi, by Tanabe Yellow.
It's basically about two groups of families, called kekkaishis/"barrier masters" who exterminate ayakashi using these box/barrier tecniques. I remember that I have watched bits and pieces of the anime somewhere before, but I would say that this is the first time that I've read the manga.
So far, I think that Kekkaishi is pretty amazing. >.<

I still can't tell whether Masomori is good or bad yet.... o.o
I guess I'll just have to read more (and if you want to know who Masomori is, then you should read it too :D)

Bye!
