Levels of Otaku-ness!!!!

Hey guys!
It's been a while and I apologize for that. After my last post, I thought that I would have more free time, but instead I just got more and more work.
Anyways, I just wanted to make at least one post this week, so I'll be posting about the 5 Levels of Otaku-ness!!!!

In case you don't know what an otaku is, an otaku is someone who is obsessed/really likes manga and anime. Actually, that's the definition of an "otaku" here in the USA. In Japan (where the word originates), an otaku is anyone who is obsessed with anything (I think that the word "otaku" literally means"house" because otakus were people/nerds who would stay home all the time)
But, for this post, I'll be writing about the American Otaku because I live in the US and I consider myself as (at least kind of ) an otaku.

Level 1:
The kind of person who only watches anime when he/she coincidentally sees it on TV (like adult swim or something). The same is for manga; a Level 1 Otaku will only read manga when he/she is shown it by friends. They usually only watch/read extremely popular anime/manga.
Level 2:
Level 2 Otakus are people who begin to start getting interested in manga/anime and will start to look for anime episodes to watch online or places to read manga. Other than that, they don't really do much anime/manga-related stuff :\
Level 3:
Level 3 Otakus are rather broad. The first part of Level 3 include people who start to watch/read everything that they can find about manga/anime. They might read light novels or play visual novels that the manga/anime originate from (However, they only do this for the animes/manga that they like or have seen, and will spend a reasonable amount of money, if any at all, on anime/manga). At this point, they don't mind English subtitles on anime. The second part of Level 3 include otakus who buy anime/manga merchandise, like pens, posters, or plushies, start to cosplay, and go to anime conventions. They will start to buy lots of manga and anime.
Level 4:
I hear that at this point (sorry, I haven't really been here before.... :\ ), otakus become weaboos, meaning that they love Japanese culture until they are annoying. They'll cosplay all the time and go to anime conventions every year. They pretty much act, dress, and talk like "real" Japanese people (which is why it becomes so unbearable to watch them). They spend even more money on anime/manga related stuff.
Level 5:
Level 5 is the True Otaku. They're rooms are filled with posters, plushies, figurines, pens; everything and anything anime/manga related! They spend more money on visual novels, Japanese games, light novels, manga, and anime. They often are fans of less-famous anime/manga (that are not the big three, Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece, and also Fairy Tail, which is also pretty popular) and cosplay and go to every anime con they can find. By this point, they just appreciate Japan a lot ^.^

Well, that's my definition of the 5 Levels of Otaku-ness.
And honestly, if I am to rate myself as an otaku....I would probably be around the beginning of Level 3.

Anyways, here are some pictures I found about otakus!
The first one is meant to be funny (I don't mean to offend anyone though) and the second is...more deep?
Enjoy, and bye! :D
